Afya restaurant launched a new laid-back tex-mex night concept. My family tried this out on a beautiful Wednesday evening where we sat outdoors indulging in a full tex-mex buffet spread. By the beach, you can hear the breeze and across the canal you can enjoy the views of the Grand Mosque. You can enjoy this “Poco Loco” theme every Wednesday evening and let their food take you on a delicious tex-mex culinary journey.
We started off our Mexican fiesta at the make-your-own taco station. You get to choose from beef, or fish and they also have vegetarian options. At this station, they only have hard-shell tacos for now but would love to see the soft-shell options in the future.
Next make your way to the hot foods station where you can enjoy burritos, enchiladas and marinated chicken skewers. The burritos was definitely a crowd favorite of the night. The definitely hit the spot for a satisfying Mexican fiesta.
Another trolley holds all the nachos and your fixings. I was sure to load up on the guacamole. Be sure to look out for the beef chili if you can handle your spice – its hot hot hot!
Inside you can refresh yourself with a lavish salad station, cheeses, and ceviche trolley. You can definitely find something suitable for all taste buds.
Finally you won’t miss the chocolate flowing fountain alongside the rich desserts and most importantly, the churros.
This night was made complete with Mexican music whilst enjoying the relaxing surroundings of the canal. Our family had a great time at Traders Hotel. They have a stunning property and their service was excellent that night. We will surely be back for another theme night.
Cheers!
